Reese’s young son has nicknamed his mom ‘The Mommy Trash Compactor’ because she’s super-tidy. She admits she’s a clean freak and even her trash has to look good. The Oscar winner tells Ellen DeGeneres that she makes sure her garbage is never overflowing - “I like to throw a lot of things away, particularly at Christmas. It makes me a little crazy when the trash is overflowing. I put on rubber boots, and I literally get into the trash can and I stomp on the trash.”

“Sometimes I’ll sneak and look at the neighbor’s garbage cans and see if it’s kind of empty. I’ll wait, literally until the middle of the night when the children are asleep, and I’ll take my extra garbage and I’ll put it in the can.”

Reese Witherspoon has dismissed reports she’s engaged to marry Jake Gyllenhaal.

It was recently speculated he had proposed during the couple’s vacation in Italy in October last year. Witherspoon’s spokesperson says, “It’s absolutely false. There’s not one ounce of truth to it.” Reese’s 8 year marriage to Ryan Phillippe ended on October 5th 2007.

     Reese Witherspoon regrets complaining about the long hours on the movie set, because life as a producer is much tougher. The actress stepped behind the camera to produce the movie Penelope, and now appreciates how tough the crew has it.

Reese says, “The actor thing is easy. I used to grumble about long days, the producer’s days are even longer. You have to get the money; you have to ask people to do favors for you. It’s horrible. When it comes together it’s really exciting.”
